GOD'S PLAN

Seven Dispensations

From creation to the final kingdom, God has dealt with humanity through seven distinct ages. Understanding them unlocks the heart of Scripture and clarifies where we stand in His unfolding purpose.

“Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world.”
— ACTS 15:18

A dispensation is a period during which God tests humanity under a specific covenant or principle. Each age reveals God’s character and humanity’s repeated failure without His grace. Yet each failure points toward Christ and His finished work.

1

Innocence

Creation → Fall

Humanity lived in a perfect state, obeying God’s command. The age ended with the Fall and expulsion from Eden.

2

Conscience

Fall → Flood

People were guided by their moral conscience, but this period ended in widespread corruption.

3

Human Government

Flood → Tower of Babel

Humanity was given authority to govern, but they failed due to pride and rebellion.

4

Promise

Abraham → Sinai

God made a covenant with Abraham, promising descendants and land.

5

Law

Sinai → Christ

Moses received the Law; Israel was to live by it. They failed repeatedly.

6

Grace

WE ARE HERE
Christ → Present

Salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus; the Church exists during this age.

7

The Kingdom

Millennial Reign

Christ will reign on earth; this dispensation ends with the final judgment.

THE RECURRING PATTERN

Each age of humanity reveals the same truth: man cannot save himself

"Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock."

— MATTHEW 7:24

Understanding the times prepares your heart.

We live in the dispensation of grace, under Christ’s finished work. Not by law, not by our effort—by faith alone. Yet the final kingdom approaches. Hold fast to what is certain.
